'HERO' PRODUCER FOCUS ANNA COFFEY, BRAW

Braw https://www.braw.ie is a Limerick-based bakery and chocolatier and was founded by Anna Coffey during the pandemic. What initially started as a personal project to create care packages for friends and family has developed into a new small business that aims to bring these connections and comforts to the wider public. Anna started out as a pastry chef back in 2010 and has since worked in restaurants and hotels in Ireland and the Netherlands.

Braw supplies cafes and restaurants in Limerick with bakery items and sells chocolate made in small batches direct through the website. Shipping is available across Ireland.

WEST LIMERICK BURGER

To celebrate the arrival of Spring, the Dunraven Arms Hotel, Adare has launched the 'West Limerick Spring Lamb Burger Kit'. This is a click and collect gourmet burger kit featuring ingredients from West Limerick producers. The head chef of Dunraven Arms Hotel, Chris Starr was inspired to create the weekend meal kit as a result of his participation in the West Limerick Food Series, a comprehensive networking and training programme designed to foster collaboration between local businesses. Local Ingredients are from Brian Costello in Adare, Cahill’s Cheese and Rigney’s Farm. This burger is definitely one to try!
 

STUDENT ENTERPRISE PROGRAMME

The Student Enterprise Programme is an initiative run by the Network of Local Enterprise Offices of Ireland with over 26,000 second level students taking part each year.

Local Enterprise Office Limerick has announced that winning teenage entrepreneurs from Newcastlewest and Castletroy will represent Limerick at this year’s Student Enterprise Programme National Final on Friday 14th May. Best of luck to both young entrepreneurs!

UPCOMING PR WORKSHOP - TELLING YOUR FOOD STORY

On Thursday 29th April from 10.00 – 11.30, online via Zoom, a PR event is being held giving tips on getting free PR, food styling and food photography. This online event will be led by 2 of Irelands leading experts in their field – Ger Hennessy and Dena Shearer, followed by a Q&A session led by James Burke, JB&A.
